Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

An intense and opulent vintage, the 2003 is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, with the remainder made up of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Displaying an array of aromas and flavours, from cassis and cocoa to chocolate, cedar and pencil shavings.

The 2003 Lafite-Rothschild has an attractive perfumed bouquet with touches of camphor infusing the blackberry and bilberry fruit. There is a mahogany bureau hint. The palate is medium-bodied with a spicy opening. The sharp acidity slightly jars against the sweet candied black fruit, with blood orange and white pepper toward the mocha-tinged finish. It's missing a bit of sustain on the aftertaste, hence my more parsimonious score. It does cohere in the glass, so decanting will help. Tasted at the Académie du Vin dinner from ex-château magnum. 18.5 Jancis Robinson

Deep lively purplish crimson. This is a very exciting wine which manages to be primarily a fine Lafite and only then an expression of the extreme ripeness of the vintage. There is no exaggeration here and most of all the dancing finesse of Lafite on song (if that is not too confusing a description). Deep and concentrated – by some measure more so than Carruades – and still introvert but it opened out to great delicacy. Pure Lafite with the extra ripeness of 2003 and a little spike of leafiness on the edge to keep it lively. Round and opulent on the mid palate but never heavy. Sweeter than usual but there is sufficient acidity and a nice dry kick of dryness to keep it all in check and beautifully airborne. Yields averaged 33 hl/ha rather than the usual 45. (JR)

An Iconic First Growth

A highly-coveted First Growth from Pauillac, the estate boasts a fascinating history that can be traced back as far as 1234. Spanning 110 hectares, Château Lafite Rothschild produces a legendary first wine, Lafite Rothschild, showcasing beautiful aromatics and an extraordinary capacity to age; a superb second wine, Carruades de Lafite, and Légende de Pauillac.

Located at the northerly boundary of Pauillac, adjacent to Saint-Estèphe, the Château vineyards are broadly split into two parcels - one which supplies the bulk of the grapes for the Grand Vin and a second parcel that is used to produce Carruades de Lafite. Vineyard plantings are around 70% Cabernet Sauvignon 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
