The 2020 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is a blend composed of 55.3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44.7% Merlot. It offers lively aromas of black cherry, plum, and blueberry, with hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, and spices. The palate is full-bodied with ripe black fruit flavours, smooth tannins, and fresh acidity, leading to a long and spicy finish.

A particularly successful effort, the 2020 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion opens in the glass with aromas of dark berries, cassis, burning embers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, it`s layered and integrated, with a fleshy core, powdery structuring tannins and good tension. - William Kelley

The 2020 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion offers plenty of ripe brambly red fruit on the nose. cranberry and wild strawberry, hints of blue fruit in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, rounded tannins that lend a very smooth texture and approachability. Red fruit merge into blacker fruit towards the second half that displays fine sapidity and quite a persistent finish. There is something sedate about this La Chapelle, comfortable in its own skin. - Neil Martin - The 2020 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion is very controlled and more backward on the nose compared to its peers, featuring blackberry, raspberry, damp earth and light black olive aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but fine tannins. There is a strong marine influence here with a dab of licorice on the finish. This needs time to find its groove, but it will. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. - The 2020 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion is very controlled and more backward on the nose compared to its peers, featuring blackberry, raspberry, damp earth and light black olive aromas. Long Lived Reds and Whites

Château La Mission Haut-Brion is one of the preeminent estates in the Pessac-Léognan appellation and is renowned for producing exceptionally concentrated and long-lived wines. The prestigious first label, La Mission Haut-Brion, is a near equal blend of Cabernet and Merlot, giving wonderfully focused wines with bramble and floral character. This illustrious estate also produces a stellar second label, La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion.

Two beautiful whites are made: La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, which is a aromatic, Sémillon-dominant blend with beautiful citrus and stone fruit, and a second white, La Clarté de Haut Brion (which also takes grapes from the Château Haut-Brion estate).
