Krug Grande Cuvée Edition 163 NV is a multi-vintage Champagne composed around the 2007 base year, blending over 180 wines from 12 harvests. The combination of younger and reserve components builds both tension and depth, typical of Krug’s meticulous assemblage. Aromas of citrus peel, hazelnut and dried flowers are joined by brioche and nougat complexity from extended lees ageing. The palate is expansive yet finely structured, balancing richness with chalky precision. Persistent acidity and delicate mousse carry a long, savoury finish, illustrating the house’s signature interplay of freshness, maturity and textural harmony.

Elegant Luxury

A Champagne house that needs no introduction. Founded by Johann Krug in Reims in 1843, this celebrated Maison specialises in prestige cuvées, including the multi-vintage flagship Grande Cuvée as well as the glorious Krug Clos d'Ambonnay, made exclusively from Pinot Noir. Another highlight is the highly coveted Clos du Mesnil - a rare Blanc de Blancs produced only in exceptional years from a single, tiny 1.84ha plot of Chardonnay grapes in the heart of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Krug has been owned by LVMH since 1999.

While Krug's excellent Grande Cuvée and Rosé have historically been released as multi-vintage blends with no indication of year, the team have now started including edition numbers so consumers can easily discover the age and provenance of the base wines used in the blend.
