Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Joh Jos Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel 2009 is from a warm, generous vintage that produced opulent and approachable wines. This bottling shows a deep golden hue and a lush aromatic profile of peach melba, acacia honey and lime oil. The 2009 growing season favoured the development of botrytis, adding a creamy texture and weight to the mid-palate. Despite the warmth of the year, the wine maintains its balance through a fine-veined acidity. This is a flamboyant Auslese that highlights the sun-drenched character of the Sonnenuhr’s steep slate slope.

Golden yellow. Christmas fruitcake with cherry, white raisin and a trace of honey on the nose. Glossy, creamy and rich on the palate, with subtle slate and brown spices and a floral element interwoven with the wine's glorious nectarine fruit. The Prums’ 2009 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese gold capsule A.P. #18 – like the corresponding Graacher Himmelreich – can be described as “confectionary,” but there most similarity ends. In this instance, the sheer sense of sweetness is much less overriding, and the prominent aromas and flavors are of malt, caramel, vanilla cream, hazelnut paste, and chestnut puree. The textural creaminess of this Auslese is sheer seduction and its sense of depth and layering – of mysterious darkness even – no less enticing. Yet at the same time, it retains a fresh fruit edge over its Himmelreich counterpart along with a mouth-watering sense of salinity. And so, we have a finish not just astonishingly persistent, but possessed of striking delicacy, enervation, and irresistible juiciness. I suspect this will merit following from 30-40 years. - David Schildknecht

Very pale gold. Middle-aged Riesling on the nose and then wonderfully sweet, honeyed, golden syrup/botrytis palate. Really quite sweet. This would need careful food matching, or perhaps would be best just sipped after – or even with – dinner in a summer garden? It would seem a shame to wait until it dried with age. Wonderfully delicate. (JR)
