Hure Freres Invitation Brut offers a bright golden hue with fine bubbles and an inviting, fresh aroma. The palate presents a blend of green apple, pear, and citrus notes, underpinned by a subtle mineral backbone. The acidity is lively, providing a refreshing lift that balances the fruit profile. This Champagne is primarily crafted from Pinot Meunier, offering a unique expression of this variety alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Hure Freres is a family-owned vineyard located in the Vallée de la Marne, known for producing small batches of Champagne with a focus on terroir and traditional methods. This non-vintage offering combines various fruit sources to achieve its character. It`s suitable as an aperitif or paired with lighter fare, reinforcing its versatility as a sparkling option for various occasions.

Based on the 2016 vintage and disgorged in January 2020 with five grams per liter dosage, the latest release of the NV Brut Invitation offers up aromas of apples, pears and toasted bread. Medium to full-bodied, vinous and nicely concentrated, it`s fleshy and textural, with racy acids, ripe fruit and a pillowy mousse. - William Kelley

The NV Brut Invitation (2016 base) is a very pretty, lifted Champagne with lovely aromatics and plenty of immediacy. I would prefer to drink this gracious, airy NV Champagne over the next few years. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2019.
