Hure Freres Invitation Brut NV is a non-vintage Champagne from Ludes, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. This non-vintage blend offers a harmonious interplay of green apple and citrus zest, alongside subtle hints of stone fruit. The palate is characterised by its fine, persistent mousse, which carries nuances of brioche and toasted bread, showcasing the influence of extended yeast contact. Founded in 1946, Hure Freres remains a family-run estate in Champagne, reflecting a commitment to quality and authenticity in every bottle produced.

Based on the 2016 vintage and disgorged in January 2020 with five grams per liter dosage, the latest release of the NV Brut Invitation offers up aromas of apples, pears and toasted bread. Medium to full-bodied, vinous and nicely concentrated, it`s fleshy and textural, with racy acids, ripe fruit and a pillowy mousse. - William Kelley

The NV Brut Invitation (2016 base) is a very pretty, lifted Champagne with lovely aromatics and plenty of immediacy. I would prefer to drink this gracious, airy NV Champagne over the next few years. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2019.
