Hundred Acre Ark Vineyard 2017 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the Howell Mountain AVA of California. Founded by former investment banker Jayson Woodbridge, Hundred Acre is one of the most exciting projects to have emerged in Napa in the past 20 years, focusing on crafting single-vineyard wines with an emphasis on quality (Jayson`s Wraith was the first ever to receive 100 points for the first three consecutive vintages). The wines are generally aged for at least 30 months in tight-grained barriques before bottling. "Deep garnet-black coloured, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard unfurls sensuously from the glass with provocative scents of baked black cherries, plum preserves and crème de cassis, with emerging suggestions of fragrant earth, black truffles, Chinese five spice and dusty soil. Full-bodied, rich and oh-so-spicy on the palate, it has a rock-solid backbone of grainy tannins and lively acidity supporting the opulent fruit, finishing very long and exotic. This is a surprisingly decadent and powerful expression of 2017!" Wine Advocate, 2021
