The Chave family has been producing wines in the Rhône Valley for several generations and is renowned for their commitment to quality. Their Hermitage Blanc is primarily made from Marsanne, with a smaller proportion of Roussanne. The 2008 vintage presents aromas of orange peel, lemon zest, honey, tangerine, toast, smoke, and blossom, all elegantly integrated with oak. On the palate, the wine maintains a crisp acidity and intensity, echoing the aromatic profile, complemented by subtle notes of white chocolate. The wine concludes with a very long, satisfying finish.

Vinous
Pale gold. Deeply scented aromas of pit fruits and orange marmalade, with hints of smoke and botanical herbs adding complexity. Densely packed but surprisingly lithe in the mouth, offering subtly sweet pit fruit flavors and a solid mineral jolt, as well as mounting spiciness and a strong floral quality. The minerality adds lift and cut to a very long and incisive finish. Chave thinks this will close down soon and be a long ager.
