Heidsieck Monopole Cuvée Diamant Bleu 1989 is a prestige-cuvée vintage Champagne produced by Heidsieck Monopole in Reims, France. Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, Heidsieck & Co Monopole is now part of the Vranken-Pommery Monopole Group, located in Reims. Diamant Bleu cuvée was originally the wine for the Imperial Court of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. On the 1989. "Really fine for a low-acid vintage, there’s an intriguing nose here with white pepper, sandalwood and pine-nut elements. There are mature notes to the apple, toast and pepper flavours, good backbone, and the texture is just lovely. This well-developed example still has youthful elements, and closes with a grapefruit-mineral finish that is both relaxed and complex." Wine Enthusiast, 2000

Vinous
- Pale gold color. Very ripe aroma dominated by baking spices; shows distinctly advanced notes. Then fresher in the mouth: rich, accessible and shapely. Shows firm acidity and a nice light touch for an '89. Lingering spicy finish.
