This is the second wine produced by the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages, a Fifth Growth estate in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. This release is the 1982 vintage, a blend composed of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Now fully mature, the wine exudes aromas of dried tobacco leaves, leather, undergrowth and dried fruits. In 2008, this second label was renamed Echo de Lynch-Bages.

The Modern Pauillac

Situated in the celebrated Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, Château Lynch Bages uses around 60% of its 100 hectares to produce its first wine (a 5th growth in the 1855 classification) in addition to producing a second red, Echo de Lynch Bages. These wines display superb Cabernet Sauvignon character, together with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the blend. A wonderful example of the power and elegance of truly great Pauillac: gloriously supple and smooth with a tannic backbone.

A white wine, known as Blanc de Lynch Bages, is also produced in very small quantities. Made from an elegant blend of the classic white Bordeaux varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, the resulting wines display exhilarating freshness and dried apricot complexity.
