Grange des Pères Rouge 2004 is a full-bodied, blended red wine from the Languedoc region of south-west France. Domaine de la Grange des Pères was founded in the early 1990s by the late Laurent Vaillé, who was known for his meticulous and passionate approach to winemaking. The estate has gained a cult following and its wines are highly sought-after due to their limited production and exceptional quality. Vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically principles. Just two wines are made at the domaine. one white (using Chardonnay, Roussanne and Marsanne with a small amount of Petit Manseng) and one red (typically Syrah and Mourvèdre, with smaller proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Counoise). "Elegant and mature-tasting, with an enticing aroma of sandalwood and intense flavours of liquorice, meat, raspberry and spice. There`s a core of bright acidity to back it all up, with a long, rich finish of beef bouillon. Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon." Wine Spectator, 2008
