Grange des Pères Rouge 2003 is a full-bodied, blended red wine from the Languedoc region of south-west France. Domaine de la Grange des Pères was founded in the early 1990s by the late Laurent Vaillé, who was known for his meticulous and passionate approach to winemaking. The estate has gained a cult following and its wines are highly sought-after due to their limited production and exceptional quality. The Grange des Pères Rouge is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Counoise. The grapes are grown on low-yielding, limestone-rich soils, and the vineyard management follows organic principles. "Quite dark ruby. Tarry/mineral nose with lots of ripe fruit and a certain mintiness. Sweet start but then it rather fades on the palate. There`s a bit of a hole in the middle. Rather drying finish, chewy, grainy tannins. Very solid and chewy." Jancis Robinson MW, 2010
