The Grande Réserve is a pure encapsulation of the Gosset style – subtle, refined and extremely elegant. The bright and fresh wine is a blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier is a pure delight with its profile of stone fruit, citrus and white flower blossom.

Aromas of crips orchard fruit, pear and apricot, mingled with hints of fresh bread and pastry, introduce the latest release of Gosset`s NV Brut Grande Réserve, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive wine that`s deceptively generous but also structured to reward some bottle age. — William Kelley, 23rd September 2021

Gosset’s Grande Réserve Brut NV is a blend of 45% each Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with 10% Pinot Meunier that is aged a minimum of four years on lees and finished with an eight grams per liter dosage. Fragrant and assertive, the nose displays aromas of preserved lemon, red currant, elderflower, chalk, whipped butter and honey. Medium-bodied and fused with vibrant, shimmering acidity and plush red fruit concentration, the palate is elegant and balanced throughout and has pretty, floral notes on the finish. 92 — Sarah Mayo, 8th November 2023

The NV Grande Réserve is a gorgeous entry-level wine from Gosset. Crisp, dry and resonant, the Grande Réserve offers lovely textural depth to play off the more mineral-driven notes that are so typical of the Gosset house style. All the elements come together nicely in this effortless, gracious mid-weight Champagne. This is very nicely done. Disgorged on April 26, 2017. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. — Antonio Galloni, 1st December 2017

Empty bottle 1,045 g. 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier. Champagne Gosset work with around 200 growers who, between them, have approximately 120 hectares, mainly around Épernay. Malolactic conversion was avoided. Each cru was vinified separately, with no filtration and aged on fine lees. Winemaker Odilon de Varine. Natural cork. TA 7.8 g/l, pH 3, RS 9 g/l. Vegan. Available in over 200 shops.
Plenty of richness on the palate with complex, yeasty flavours and a fine mousse. Dosage seems rather high, making the wine taste a little saccharine on the finish. Seems very expensive for what is on offer – there are many better-value alternatives out there. (AWH) — Andy Howard, 9th October 2024

Gosset

The Gosset family has been established in Champagne well before 1484, when Jean Gosset was born. A century later, Pierre Gosset, alderman of Aÿ and winegrower, founded the House, which produced still wines, often red, from its own vineyards. For more than four centuries, Maison Gosset has been perpetuating the perfection and transmission of its know-how in the production of Champagne wines with an original character.
