Xavier Gonet and his wife Julie Medeville established their own champagne label in 2000 and their current holdings cover approximately 12 hectares of vineyards spread across eight different villages. Their Premier Cru ‘Tradition’ is a non-vintage champagne, composed of 70% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier. The nose is quite intense, suggesting aromas of green apples, raspberries, brioche, honey and toast. On the palate, a medium-bodied expression, marked by high acidity and excellent length.

The recent disgorgement of the NV Brut Premier Cru Tradition is a blend of 70% Chardonnay from Bisseuil, Pinot Noir (from Ambonnay and Bisseuil) and a bit of Pinot Meunier (from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ), mostly based on the 2014 vintage (80%) plus 2013/2012. Fermented in 60% barriques bordelaise and aged on the second lees for 36 months, this cuvée has an intensely aromatic yet pure and mineral bouquet followed by a full-bodied, pure and powerful yet refreshing palate with lots of fruit and structure as well as remarkable freshness. It's complex and mineral, a bit loud perhaps and with nice grapefruit bitterness. Still very fresh, it needs some time to gain more finesse and elegance. Disgorged in March 2018 with a dosage of six grams per liter. Tasted April 2018.Stephan Reinhardt31st August 2018

The NV Brut Tradition Premier Cru is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier picked chiefly in Bisseuil, supplemented with fruit from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Mesnil-sur-Oger. Eighty percent of base wines are from the 2020 vintage. Fresh polenta and dried corn husk are smooth and supple on the nose. The palate is sprightly, alert and energetic with fine, almost urgent foam. Juicy and bright, the palate shows a slight phenolic element but also lovely freshness. A very lively, fuller, rounder apero style. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: January 2024. Antonio Galloni30th December 2025

Elegant Blanc and Rosé

The Champagne house of Laurent-Perrier is celebrated for its innovative spirit and for the hallmark lightness, freshness and elegance of its wines. Founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot, the Maison took the Laurent-Perrier name when Mathilde-Émilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business. Family-run to this day, the House has been in the de Nonancourt family since 1939.

Laurent-Perrier produces a superb vintage Champagne; an outstanding prestige cuvée known as Grand Siécle; as well as the Laurent-Perrier Rosé Brut NV, which is one of the most widely-recognised and popular Rosé Champagnes. Produced from 100% Pinot Noir with a controlled period of maceration, the Laurent-Perrier Rosé Brut NV is a gorgeous salmon-pink wine with wonderful aromatic richness.
