Glenallachie 14 Year Old Single Cask 1852 for The Netherlands is a limited-edition, age-statement single malt whisky produced at the Glenallachie Distillery and bottled exclusively for the Netherlands. It was distilled in 2008 and matured in a Marsala Barrique cask before being bottled in 2023. The whisky is bottled at cask strength of 56.9%, with just 314 bottles produced. The whisky offers a rich flavour profile, with notes of honey, stewed apricots, dried berries, butterscotch and walnut on the nose. The palate unfolds with flavours of liquorice, heather honey, cinnamon, toffee, mocha and pepper.

One of the Last Independent Distilleries

GlenAllachie was founded in Aberlour in 1967 at the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountains. Initially, the distillery was known for contributing its spirit to a number of Scottish blended whiskies and kept a relatively low profile with very few bottlings of single malt available. That all changed in 2017 when Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to form the GlenAllachie Distillers Company and agree the purchase of the distillery from the then owners Chivas Brothers.

The revitalised GlenAllachie is quickly becoming home to some of the most innovative and interesting bottlings in Scotland. The core range includes an outstanding 8 year old, finished in Oloroso casks, virgin oak and red wine barriques while the 15 year old offers big Sherry notes that fans of Macallan, Glen Grant and Glenfarclas will surely enjoy.
