Guinaudeau G Acte One is a full-bodied Bordeaux Superieur red wine produced by Guinaudeau Family Vignerons. This blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc is produced from massal selection cuttings from the best parcels of Guinaudeau`s Grand Village property in Fronsac. "Precise, pure fragrant perfumes nose. Violets, loganberry and pink blossoms with a kiss of vanilla spice, graphite and pink musk. Palate is equally cool and suave, sleek and beautifully balanced with chalky black berry fruits, blueberry hints and a long, opulent, harmonious finish. Seamless and perfectly proportioned and drinking well already." Greg Sherwood, 2019

Vinous
The maiden 2009 Acte 1 is lucid and quite deep in colour. The bouquet is still youthful with an equal mixture of red and black fruit, blackberry, raspberry and bing cherry that develop with time. It is pleasing, though not complex. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip on the entry. I admire the savoury aspect of this Acte, now very pliable with age. Oddly there is something almost South African about the finish, a subtle jarring bitterness, a little confit due to the warmth of that summer. Not bad, although I would have liked a little more flesh given the growing season. Tasted at the Acte vertical in London.
