Flor de Pingus 2007 is the second wine from Dominio de Pingus, crafted by Peter Sisseck in the renowned Ribera del Duero region. This vintage is produced from Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) sourced from old-vine parcels primarily located in the La Horra zone. The 2007 growing season was cooler, which extended the ripening period and contributed to the wine`s depth. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for 14 months in both new and old barriques. The result is a complex wine showcasing aromas of dark fruits, spice and subtle oak.

(100% tempranillo, aged in 100% new barriques Inky ruby. Sexy, highly perfumed bouquet of red and dark berry preserves, smoked meat, minerals and fresh violet, with a suave Asian spice note gaining power in the glass. Fresh, lively and focused, offering sweet black raspberry and mocha flavors, with supple tannins adding shape. Extremely alluring wine with strong finishing sweetness and lingering spice and mocha qualities. This gained weight with air and holds serious promise for another six or so years of cellaring.Josh Raynolds1st September 2009
