Flor de Pingus 2003 is the second wine from Dominio de Pingus, crafted in Spain’s Ribera del Duero region. This vintage is composed of Tempranillo sourced from younger vines ranging around 35 to 40 years of age. The wine presents aromas of dark berries, subtle graphite and hints of herbs. On the palate, it offers ripe black fruit interwoven with oak influences, exhibiting a structured profile with polished tannins.

Saturated medium ruby. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, currant, tar, minerals, licorice and sexy oak. Extravagantly sweet and ripe, with layered flavors of roasted black raspberry, minerals, chocolate and black olive. Finishes lush and broad, with a boatload of sweet, smooth, building tannins. In the past two vintages, Peter Sisseck has taken the second wine of Pingus to a new level.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2005
