Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 2007 is a dry white wine from the Pessac-Léognan region of Bordeaux made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The 2007 vintage was excellent for white wines in Bordeaux providing a cool ripening period that preserved intense aromatics and high acidity. This wine has aged significantly and now shows a complex nose of beeswax and lanolin alongside a lingering citrus and flinty finish. It is a full-bodied white with a very oily texture that has been refined by years of bottle maturation.

Pale, bright yellow. Reticent but pure aromas of lemon, crushed stone, violet and lavender. Locked up tight on the palate, showing near-painful flavors of citrus peel, crushed stone and vanilla. This very shy and youthfully disjointed wine probably needs 15 years in the cellar to harmonize and express itself.Stephen Tanzer1st July 2010
