Dom Ruinart 2007 is made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. With characteristic subtlety and elegance, the nose is fresh, fruit-driven and floral. After aeration faint hints of oyster shell, flint and smoke also emerge. The palate is smooth and refined and flows into a long, mineral-tinged finish.

The 2007 Dom Ruinart (magnum) is in a gorgeous spot right now where it is just starting to open. If anything, the magnum lags the 750ml bottle at this stage in terms of its development, which is of course to be expected. I admire the textural resonance here. Antonio Galloni1st May 2023

Ruinart

One of Champagne's Oldest

Founded in Reims in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart (the nephew of legendary Benedictine monk Dom Ruinart), Ruinart is one of the oldest champagne houses in France. The Ruinart style is characterised by its supreme elegance and finesse. A key cuvée is the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs - the house’s signature champagne - made using 100% Chardonnay grapes from vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.

The Chardonnay variety is at the heart of all of the house's cuvees, including the Ruinart Rosé Brut, which is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mostly sourced from Premier Cru vineyards, in addition to the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and the Ruinart Brut.
