Maison Ruinart is one of the oldest Champagne houses in existence, founded in 1729. Dom Ruinart represents the pinnacle of the Ruinart portfolio, known for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The 2002 vintage is marked by notes of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, along with ripe orchard fruits like pear and apple. There are also hints of toasted brioche, almonds, and delicate floral nuances. Dom Ruinart champagnes are known for their ability to age gracefully, and the 2002 vintage is no exception.

Vinous
The 2002 Dom Ruinart is a gorgeous, mature Champagne. Apricot, brioche, dried flowers, spice and chamomile fill out the layers. This is an especially broad, ample Champagne that offers notable textural presence. The ripeness of the year and the stature of Chardonnays from Montagne de Reims are both evident. Dosage is 6.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2011. Antonio Galloni8th April 2025

One of Champagne's Oldest
Founded in Reims in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart (the nephew of legendary Benedictine monk Dom Ruinart), Ruinart is one of the oldest champagne houses in France. The Ruinart style is characterised by its supreme elegance and finesse. A key cuvée is the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs - the house’s signature champagne - made using 100% Chardonnay grapes from vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.
The Chardonnay variety is at the heart of all of the house's cuvees, including the Ruinart Rosé Brut, which is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mostly sourced from Premier Cru vineyards, in addition to the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and the Ruinart Brut.
