Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Dom Pérignon was first introduced in 1936 with the inaugural 1921 vintage. Today, Dom Pérignon is released at three separate moments in time that correspond to ‘plénitudes,’ that roughly equate to the three distinct phases of a wine’s evolution. The original release is aged on crown seal while wines in the P2 and P3 [formerly Oenothèque] program are aged on cork. The 1990 vintage is a full-bodied champagne, with a velvety texture, remarkable concentration and ripe acidity. The finish is incredibly structured and prolonged.

While the original disgorgement of this wine is beginning to get a little long in the tooth in regular formats from all but the coolest cellar, the 1990 Dom Pérignon P3 is showing superbly, bursting from the glass with a thrilling bouquet of ripe yellow fruits, dried white flowers, honeycomb, brioche and and spruce smoke. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, satiny textured and deep at the core, with terrific concentration, ripe acids and structuring dry extract, concluding with a long, beautifully defined finish. The 1990 is clearly a vintage that has been favored by the combination of additional time on the lees and lower dosage, and in its P3 incarnation, it can go head to head with the 1985, even if the latter vintage is aging more gracefully from the original release. Given that the 1990 P3 is an expressive, dramatic wine, there seems little reason to wait, though it ought to perform at this level for the better part of a decade. — William Kelley, 9th April 2020

The Past, Present and Future of Champagne

The first release of this now famous prestige cuvée was the 1921 vintage, launched in 1936. Dom Pérignon produces only vintage Champagnes, both blanc and rosé, and offer a number of late release bottlings under their Oenothèque and Plénitude labels. The wine is named after the legendary Benedictine monk, Father Pierre Pérignon, who in 1668 arrived at the Abbey of Hautvillers, north of Épernay and began experiments that would eventually lead to the creation and bottling of sparkling wine as we know it today.

The Maison produces elegantly balanced, harmonious and extraordinarily age-worthy Champagnes that are appreciated the world over. Young vintages offer a citrus-forward, brioche-like profile while mature bottlings present notes of toasted hazelnut, honey and orange oil. A true classic in the category and a wine that remains eternally popular with connoisseurs.
