Château de Pressac is a 47-hectare wine estate situated in the commune of Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse, within the Saint-Émilion appellation. The vineyards are planted to six black grape varieties – Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Carmenère and Petit Verdot – which are all used in the grand vin. The 2008 is a generous, juicy wine, brimming with notes of cassis and dark chocolate.

The 2008 Chateau de Pressac is a simple, straightforward, one-dimensional effort offering some herbaceous black cherry and currant fruit intermixed with dusty soil undertones. It is a pleasant but uninspiring wine.Robert Parker2nd May 2011
