Château Dalem is an historic wine estate situated in the Fronsac appellation. Since 1955 the 32-hectare property has been owned by the Ruiller family and it’s currently managed by Brigitte Rullier Loussert. One of the château’s latest releases is the 2019 vintage, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. A classic Château Dalem, this is a lush and very elegant expression, exuding notes of juicy cherries, liquorice, crushed stones and a touch of smoke.

Vinous
The 2019 Dalem offers almost Burgundian purity on the nose, where blackberry, bilberry, crushed stone and pressed iris petal commingle. The palate is beautifully proportioned and quite saline, with fine tannins and an almost pixelated finish, which delivers superb grip and density. This is an outstanding Fronsac that will live long in the bottle. Excellent. Neal Martin1st February 2022
