Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Émile Vendanges Tardives is a sweet white Alsace from the Ribeauvillé district. This legendary 1989 release comes from the Geisberg and Osterberg Grand Cru vineyards, where the vines are grown on Muschelkalk limestone. The 1989 season was historic for late-harvest wines, providing the perfect conditions for botrytis development and high sugar concentration. Trimbach’s style remains rigorously structured, balancing the residual sweetness with a powerful, vibrating acidic core. It offers a decadent profile of honey, dried apricots and petroleum, with an immense capacity for ageing over several decades.
