Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Cuvée Frédéric Émile Trimbach 1999 is a distinguished Alsace Riesling from one of the region`s most respected producers. This wine is crafted from grapes sourced predominantly from the Grand Cru vineyards of Geisberg and Osterberg, known for their unique terroir and limestone soils. Founded in 1626, Trimbach is celebrated for its purity and expression of grape variety. The 1999 vintage reflects a balance of ripe fruit and minerality, with a structured acidity that will support long-term ageing.

(7.7 g/l total acidity; 3.1 pH; 0.9 g/l residual sugar): Good, bright green-tinged straw-yellow. Sensational nose features all the Alsace food groups: white stone fruit, minerals, anise, flowers and diesel fuel. Pure and still very fresh on the palate, with a wonderfully fine-grained texture to its austere flavors of white stone fruit and licorice. Given lift and definition by sharp acidity and a spicy note of white pepper. I found this to offer a rare combination of density and delineation. It finishes with outstanding rising length and great finesse, but it's almost harsh in its total lack of residual sugar. Very much a gothic steeple rather than a baroque dome. According to Jean Trimbach, the 1999 was, up until then, the toughest CuvÃ©e FrÃ©deric Emile to sell, as with its very low residual sugar it was very rigid and tight, with its acidity a bit overwhelming on release. It took 14 years for this wine to open, and it has remained Chablis-like ever since, he told me. This wine reminded me of the Clos Ste. Hune of the same vintage.Ian d'Agata1st September 2013
