Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux Côte-Rôtie Maison Rouge 2009 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard Syrah red wine from the northern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1928, Domaine Duclaux is nowadays headed up by second-generation brothers Benjamin and David, producing three excellent quality Côte-Rôtie wines from 5.5 hectares of vines in the southern part of the appellation. The Maison Rouge cuvée is a 100% Syrah matured in 40% new oak for 20 months. "Less evolved than the 2009 la Germine, the 2009 Cote Rotie Maison Rouge still shows nearly primary notes of smoke, violets, raspberries and blueberries. Full-bodied and rich, yet silky and delicate (yes, I know that`s somewhat contradictory), it still has plenty to offer, with at least a decade of life ahead of it." Robert Parker, 2019
