E Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Mouline 2008 is a full-bodied single-vineyard Syrah produced by the renowned Domaine E Guigal in the northern Rhône region of France. Founded in 1946, Domaine Guigal is one of the most revered and consistent estates in the Rhône Valley, and is often seen as a benchmark for quality Côte-Rôtie. The top three wines from Guigal are known affectionately in some circles as the `La La`s`, which is short for La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. "Already up-front and easy-drinking, with a surprising lack of depth and concentration, the 2008 Cote Rotie la Mouline gives up plenty of peppered game, underbrush, and sweet fruit to go with a medium-bodied, elegant and straightforward profile on the palate. While I think it will still be better in a couple of years, it`s easily the weakest la Mouline in over a decade and will need drinking in its first 10-15 years of life. Benchmark for Côte-Rôtie excellence
Founded in the village of Ampuis by Etienne Guigal in 1946, Domaine Guigal is one of the most revered and unwaveringly consistent estates in the Rhône Valley, and is often seen as a benchmark for Côte-Rôtie Syrah. A pioneer of the single-vineyard concept in this appellation Guigal is best known for its top three wines, known affectionately as the 'La-Las', which is short for La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque – the domaine's top Syrah vineyards .
