Based in the town of Premeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie is a Burgundy estate producing 37 individual cuvées each year. The label was launched in 1999 when the Boisset family decided to consolidate what they considered the best 35 hectares of their vineyards into one single domaine. This superb Côte de Beaune uses grapes from a fine vineyard next door to Savigny Lès Beane and Beaune premier cru Les Bressandes. Aged in a third new oak barrels for a year lends even more layers of complexity and depth to this fine red.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
