Domaine de la Vougeraie Côte de Beaune Les Pierres Blanches 2022 is a medium-bodied white wine from the Burgundy region of France. Based in the town of Premeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie is a leading Burgundy estate producing 37 individual cuvées each year. The label was launched in 1999 when the Boisset family decided to consolidate what they considered the best 35 hectares of their vineyards into one single Domaine. This Côte de Beaune comes from vineyards in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Grandes Terres, south of Volnay. These vineyards have been certified organic by Ecocert since 2001. "Bottled in July, the 2022 Bourgogne Blanc Terre de Famille has an attractive nose with yellow plum and light-dried honey scents. The palate is well-balanced with a rounded entry. It is missing some acidity and feels a bit predictable on the finish, but you could merrily quaff this over the next couple of years." Neal Martin, 2024

The 2022 Côte de Beaune Blanc Les Pierres Blanches has a well-defined bouquet with citrus peel and Golden Delicious scents. There's a touch of reduction here, lending a bit of edge. The palate is well-balanced, with sour lemon mixed with pear and white pepper on the entry. It's a bit short, but overall, I prefer this to its red counterpart.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
