Maison Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne 2007 is a Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru of Corton-Charlemagne on the hill of Corton in the Côte de Beaune. With 10.5ha of Chardonnay vines, the Latour family is the biggest vineyard owner in the Corton-Charlemagne appellation. The family`s vineyards in this illustrious Grand Cru are located on a prime section of the Corton hillside where the south-easterly aspect ensures maximum exposure to the sun. Fruit is harvested as late as possible to ensure maximum ripeness. "This really has not changed all that much from my original review save that the maturing nose of toasty, expressive and highly complex aromas feature notes of pain grillé, green fruit and dried rose petals is not quite as fresh as it once was even in the larger format. There is fine richness to the rich, full-bodied, well-muscled and impressively intense flavours that possess plenty of dry extract that really coats the mouth on the long and serious finish." Burghound, 2015
