Domaine Bonneau du Martray is known for being the only estate in Burgundy that focuses exclusively on producing wines from Grand Cru vineyards. Their vineyards are located in the prestigious Corton and Corton-Charlemagne appellations, which are renowned for producing high-quality wines in Burgundy. In 2017 the property was acquired by American businessman Stanley Kroenke, who also owns Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley. The 1998 vintage in Burgundy was generally a good one, marked by favourable weather conditions. It produced wines with good ripeness and aging potential.
