Colgin Tychson Hill 2008 is a Cabernet Sauvignon that emerges from the renowned Tychson Hill vineyard, which has been under Colgin`s stewardship since the 1990s. Situated in the Mayacamas Mountains, this historic vineyard benefits from unique volcanic soils that enhance the fruit profile. The 2008 vintage showcases a blend of purple fruits and black cherries, alongside floral elements. Notable underlying aromas include hints of chocolate malt and graphite. The wine embodies a refined texture with fine tannins, allowing for potential development over time.

Vinous
Saturated medium ruby. Compelling, pure aromas of black raspberry, violet and ginger convey a rather cool quality. Juicy, gripping and penetrating; not an opulent wine but boasts outstanding definition and energy to its flavors of dark berries, flowers and licorice. Finishes youthfully tight, with firm-edged tannins and excellent length. Still needs time to unwind.Stephen Tanzer1st April 2015
