Gérard Bertrand has firmly established himself as a leading figure in the world of wine, particularly for his commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. One of his most prestigious and exclusive offerings is the `Clos du Temple` rosé, which is produced in the Cabrières appellation within the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It is made from a blend of carefully selected grapes including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier. The wine is characterized by its pale pink hue, with an intense and complex nose of red berries, citrus, white flowers and subtle spice notes. The palate is rich and textured, with layers of fruit, minerality, and a refreshing acidity that provides a satisfying finish. Available here in a rare 3-litre bottle.

A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Viognier and Mourvèdre, the 2021 Languedoc Cabrières Rosé Clos du Temple was matured for six months in French oak barrels. Evoking aromas of oak, smoke, jasmine, rose petal, gooseberry and spices, it’s tense and fleshy, medium-bodied to full-bodied, lively and rather muscular with a long, fresh finish dominated by oaky notes, which are a little prominent for me at the moment.Yohan Castaing8th June 2023
