Château Clerc Milon 2004 is a refined and balanced expression from this prestigious Pauillac estate. Sitting between Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild, the estate’s vineyards benefit from exceptional terroir, particularly for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2004 vintage, while slightly cooler than the legendary 2005, still offers impressive concentration and elegance, with layers of blackcurrant, cedar, and tobacco, along with fine-grained tannins. A wine that is drinking beautifully now but has the potential to age further, showcasing the quality of both the vintage and the estate.
90 Robert Parker
This outstanding effort displays loads of cassis fruit interwoven with notions of espresso roast, white chocolate, and menthol. It possesses a terrific front end, good mid-section, and moderately high tannin in the finish. Approximately 15,000 cases were produced. Anticipated maturity. 2012-2025. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
90 Vinous
The 2004 Clerc Milon has a somewhat airy, much more floral bouquet than the d'Armailhac but perhaps offers just a bit more class and panache. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and fine precision. The 2004 has a polished, gentle grip and a persistent black peppery finish. Very fine.
