Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieux Télégraphe 1990 unveils a blend reflecting the rich viticultural heritage of Southern Rhône. This wine, produced by the esteemed Télégraphe estate, is crafted from several traditional grape varieties typical of the region. Its complex profile typically showcases earthy notes, dark fruits, and subtle spice. Notably, the estate has been in the Brunier family since the late 19th century, maintaining a commitment to organic principles and traditional winemaking methods. This vintage offers insight into the nuances of age in Southern Rhône wines.

My favorite of the lineup was easily the 1990 Chateauneuf du Pape and it has to-die-for aromatics that continue to change and evolve in the glass. Garrigue, seaweed, olive, game and ripe red and black fruits all flow to a medium to full-bodied, seamless and elegant red that has fine tannin and a sunny, graceful personality that`s about as gulpable as they come. It`s fully mature and I see no need to delay gratification. - Jeb Dunnuck
