The Domaine’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape is produced from organically farmed grapes and typically is made of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah .
“I’ve had numerous bottles of the 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape recently and it is always impressive. Always a rough blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah and Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete tanks, this classic beauty is loaded with notions of kirsch liqueur, wild strawberries, gamy meats and olive tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, seamless, silky and elegant, you can`t go wrong here, and this will provide immense drinking pleasure anytime over the coming decade (although I see no need to delay gratification).” 93 points, The Wine Advocate

Saturated red. Extremely fresh, sexy aromas of red and dark berries, smoky minerals and flowers, along with a suave garrigue note. Supple, finely etched raspberry and blackcurrant flavors stain the palate, picking up anise and lavender pastille qualities with air. There's a pinot noir-like grace here that's very interesting, especially married to this amount of depth and power. Finishes very long and precise.Josh Raynolds1st January 2009
