Established in 1965, Domaine Bosquet des Papes is a leading winery situated within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the southern Rhône. Renowned predominantly for its distinguished range of red and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the estate also crafts a limited assortment of Côtes du Rhône AOC. The 2005 ‘Cuvée Tradition’ combines aromas of fruit jam, dried fruits, hints of undergrowth and leather. On the palate, expect a full-bodied expression boasting notes of spices and chocolate.

Dark red. Ripe red berries and cherry on the nose, with a complex array of garrigue and floral qualities adding complexity. Seems to have gained in weight and ripeness since last year, offering deep, rich raspberry and kirsch flavors and impressive finishing thrust. Really clings to the palate, leaving a trail of smoky red fruits and lavender in its wake.Josh Raynolds1st January 2008

A ripe, evolved and fully mature bottle, the 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape (75% Grenache, 12% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and the rest Cinsault, Vaccarese and Counoise) offers lots of garrigue, fig, cured meats and hints of toasted nuts to go with a medium-bodied, classically styled feel on the palate. It’s best consumed over the coming couple of years.Jeb Dunnuck28th February 2015
