Clos des Brusquieres owns roughly 9 hectares of vineyards within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The majority of their vines are located in the Brusquieres area, from which they derive their name. Notably, Clos des Brusquieres is one of the select Châteauneuf-du-Pape producers dedicated to crafting a single wine, which typically comprises an 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre blend. The 2005 vintage in both the Northern and Southern Rhône regions proved to be exceptional, yielding refined and sophisticated wines with excellent ageing potential.

Deep red. Fresh strawberry and garrigue on the nose, with suave floral and baking spice qualities building with air. A lightly chewy, sweet midweight, offering sexy red berry liqueur flavors and fully enrobed, velvety tannins. Gains freshness and cut on the long, sappy finish. I underrated this last year.Josh Raynolds1st January 2008
