Châteauneuf-du-Pape Chimère 2012 is a Southern Rhône red blend crafted by renowned winemaker Manfred Krankl in collaboration with the Maurel brothers of Clos Saint-Jean. The blend comprises 93% Mourvèdre, alongside 5% Grenache, with the remaining percentage allocated to white varieties. This wine features Mourvèdre sourced from the esteemed La Crau vineyard, which is known for its poor, stony soils. Aged in two new French oak barrels, this bottling is one of fewer than 400 magnums produced.
