Mounir and Rotem Saouma, of Burgundy producer Lucien Le Moine, have always had profound love for the Grenache Noir variety and of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, and have slowly managed to acquire 21 acres of exceptional quality vines across all its 5 villages. Generally speaking, the winemaking style is wonderfully traditional with no punching down or racking, extended fermentation and maturation times, and only the very lightest addition of sulphur before bottling. Each year Mounir selects several crus to be aged in amphorae and they are released as a four-bottle set. 2017 was widely considered a good quality vintage and these wines are complex, terroir-driven and precise.
