Château de Beaucastel`s white Châteauneuf-du-Pape production is limited, with only 7 hectares of white grape vines. The predominant variety is Roussanne, constituting 80% of the blend. Bottled over two decades ago, the 2000 vintage is currently offering a captivating nose, with cooked apricot aromas, reminiscent of a Tokaji. Toasty notes and delicate floral undertones enhance the aromatic profile, while candied fruit adds a delightful sweetness. On the palate, its flavours align seamlessly with the nose, resulting in a harmonious tasting experience.

(80% roussanne) Bright, highly aromatic nose combines pineapple, white peach, spices, flowers and a whiff of truffle. Rich but lively and bright; fruit-driven and youthful. Very exuberant wine, from a yield of just 17 hectoliters per hectare.Stephen Tanzer1st January 2002
