Henri Germain Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Les Fairendes 2017 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Vergers in the Chassagne-Montrachet commune of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Henri Germain is one of the leading producers in Burgundy today. Based in Meursault, the estate was originally established by Henri Germain in 1973. It is now his son, Jean-François Germain, who manages the 7-hectare property, which includes holdings around Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Beaune. In 2018, Jean-François was joined by his daughter, Lucie. On the 2017 Morgeot Les Fairendes. "A more restrained nose reluctantly offers up its aromas of resin, white orchard fruit and soft wood toast nuances. As one would expect, this is much bigger and richer with its broad-shouldered flavours that display fine power and muscle on the sappy if not particularly complex finale. This possesses fine development potential and the depth should eventually, and progressively, emerge." Burghound, 2019
