The Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle Vougeraie 2023 is a white wine from the Premier Cru Morgeot climat in Burgundy. This monopole vineyard, owned by Domaine de la Vougeraie, showcases the estate`s commitment to biodynamic practices. The 2023 vintage offers a structured profile, with hints of ripe stone fruits and subtle oak influence derived from its ageing in French barrels. This wine reflects the mineral complexity typical of the region’s limestone soils, balancing richness with acidity and ripe fruit.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
