Domaine Duc de Magenta Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 2000 is a 1er Cru white Burgundy from the monopole vineyard of Clos de la Chapelle, farmed and vinified by Louis Jadot. Fermented in oak barrels, around one-third of which were new, the wine was matured in similar oak for 15 months before release.

(this finished its sugar fermentation in July of 2001) Apple blossom, wet stone and spicy oak on the nose. Concentrated, sweet and harmonious, with fresh fruit flavors of apple and pear. Consistent, showy and long, with the floral quality carrying through on the end. Classic Chassagne-Montrachet from deeper soil.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2002
