Domaine Vincent Girardin Chambolle-Musigny Les Vieilles Vignes 2002 is a mature-vintage Burgundy red wine from the Chambolle-Musigny commune of the Côte de Nuits. Situated in Meursault, Vincent Girardin is a respected Burgundy producer that was initially established in 1982. The domaine owns approximately 22 hectares of vineyards and also operates as a négociant, procuring grapes from growers who adhere to specific quality standards, including the avoidance of herbicides and insecticides. In 2012, Vincent Girardin sold the business, but Eric Germain, the winemaker since the early 2000s, remained to ensure a seamless transition. This mature 2002 vintage Chambolle is exclusively produced from old-vine fruit and shows an impressive concentration of evolved red and black fruits supported by fine, elegant tannins.
