The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses from Robert Groffier is a stunning wine that exemplifies the richness and depth of this iconic vineyard. 2009 was a warm vintage, and Groffier`s vines thrived, producing wines with power and concentration. The wine is aromatic, with ripe red fruits, floral notes of violet, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet elegant, with a luxurious texture and well-structured tannins that promise longevity. The finish is long and mineral, with an underlying freshness that lifts the fruit character. This wine is impressive now, but it will continue to evolve and gain complexity over time.

Vinous
The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses is a bit unusual for this site. The fruit shows more depth, concentration and overt richness than most wines from this vineyard. The signature perfume emerges with time, but this remains a wine essentially built on an intense core of fruit. Groffier used 10% stems here. The finish shows a little heat, which is the only thing that keeps the score from going higher. - Antonio Galloni - Good full red. Inviting, slightly liqueur-like aromas of red fruits, flowers, spices, roasted herbs, burnt sugar, licorice and pepper. Broad and silky-sweet in the mouth, with spice and pepper treble notes giving the wine a surprisingly light touch for such a large-scaled Amoureuses. Finishes with dusty tannins and classic dryness.
