Chambolle-Musigny 2006 from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is a notable example of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits region. The 2006 vintage benefitted from a warm growing season, yielding wines with concentrated fruit flavours. This Chambolle-Musigny showcases red berry notes, particularly cherry and raspberry, alongside hints of violet and earthy undertones. The structure is defined by fine tannins, suggesting potential for further ageing.

Vinous
Good full red. Spicy black cherry, mocha and menthol on the nose. Sweet, fat, dense and powerful, with an oakiness that came as a surprise following the 2007 crus. More deeply pitched than the 2007 version, showing a medicinal, briary quality that reminded me of Bonnes-Mares. Finishes with serious, oak-driven tannins. More opulent than the `07 but less vibrant and refined.
