Rossignol-Trapet is certified biodynamic wine estate situated in Gevrey-Chambertin. The domaine was formed in 1961 through the marriage of Jacques Rossignol and Mado Trapet and it is now managed by their sons Nicolas and David Rossignol. This is their 2009 Chambertin Grand Cru, produced from two parcels of vines approximately 40 years old and a third that was originally planted in 1919. The wine has a distinct floral character, complemented by notes of red berries, crushed stones and white pepper.
Vinous
- The 2009 Chambertin is a big, powerful wine that sits on the edge of over ripeness. The Chambertin is literally bursting at the seams with fruit. Sweet red berries and flowers are some of the layers of nuance that take shape on the sensual finish. Tasted from tank.
