Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Catena Zapata are one of the premier Argentinian producers and their Chardonnay is truly world class. The White Stones Chardonnay is sourced from the Adrianna Vineyard in the sub-region of Gualtallary. It is rich and powerful with stone fruits, wild herbs, stoney minerality and a subtly saline finish. Only 1,600 bottles were produced in 2014.

(only 10% of this wine went through malolactic fermentation): Palish yellow, not 100% lucid. Knockout nose combines nectarine, mirabelle, candied peach, clove, ginger and crushed rock. Pungent and mineral-driven, offering an exciting sugar/acid balance and outstanding cut and intensity. Shows distinctly yellow fruits in an Alsace way. A very sexy vintage for this bottling, with its firm minerality framing and extending the very long finish and giving the wine terrific grip. The strong, youthfully bound-up acidity should hold this wine for a good decade, but I find this wine less austere than the 2013 at a similar stage because it has more sweetness of fruit to balance its pronounced acidity.Stephen Tanzer1st July 2017

17.5 Jancis Robinson

White Stones Chardonnay comes from a select 27 rows within Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard at 1,400 m in the Gualtallary subregion of Tupungato. The name refers to the ground beneath the vines which is covered with gravel – oval white stones. Alluvial stony soil. TA 9 g/l, pH 3. Fermented in French oak with ambient yeasts and aged in used French oak. Pale gold, just very slightly darker than the White Bones. There is also a slight minty note here but less intense than on the White Bones. Here there is also riper fruit on the nose – citrus and stone fruit and even yellow plum but also a definite rocky minerality. Smells chalky. Although the acidity is just as high as on the White Bones, here the riper fruit seems to tone down the acidity a little. Firmer texture, more concentrated and just a little less austere. Great length and harmony and just a touch more fruit intensity and weight on the mouth. (JH)

Over more than a century, the Catenas have evolved into the pre-eminent winemaking family in Argentina. The family’s history in wine goes back to 1902 when Nicola Catena purchased his first Mendoza vineyard. Much more recently, in 1997, his grandson, Nicolás Zapata pioneered the idea of fine wine from Argentina. Inspired by Bordeaux and Napa, he was the first person to ally Old World winemaking sensibilities to the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza.

Bodega Catena Zapata is now managed by (Dr) Laura Catena, who continues to uphold the the family’s standard of excellence, harnessing the high-altitude terroir of the Andes through precision viticulture and a highly granular cellar regime to produce one of the finest wine portfolios in Argentina.

The flagship wine of the Catena portfolio is the Nicolás Catena Zapata cuvée in which ungrafted Malbec is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon from ‘grand cru’ multiple plots, all processed via 200 micro-vinifications which are then blended together and matured for 24 months in French oak, with a further two years in bottle before release.
